Fast games are built for speed. A round finishes in seconds, the rules take one go to learn, and unlike a slot you usually make a decision during the round rather than watching one play out.

A multiplier climbs from 1.00 and can stop at any moment. Cash out before it does and you take the multiplier; leave it too long and you take nothing. The only real decision is your cash-out target, and the only sensible way to play is to set one before the round and take it. A target you move mid-round is not a target.
Mines and pick games
A grid hides a set number of hazards. Each safe tile you reveal raises the multiplier, and you can bank at any point. More hazards means a steeper curve and a shorter expected run.
This is the format where discipline is most visible, because the game asks you to stop on every single click. Decide how many tiles you will open before you start.

A ball falls through a field of pegs into a payout slot. You choose the risk profile and the number of rows; the outcome is random. There is no skill component at all, which some people find relaxing and others find pointless — both are fair reactions.

Dice, wheels, scratch-style reveals. Straightforward odds, immediate results, very little to learn. Best suited to short sessions, and the published return-to-player figure is the whole story on what to expect.
The one thing to watch
A round lasting five seconds means you can place two hundred bets in the time a slot session would take to place forty. Nothing about your budget changes, but the rate you spend it changes enormously.
Set a fixed stake and do not move it. Set a number of rounds, or a clock, and stop there. If you cannot remember how many rounds you have played, you have played too many — check your bet history and see the number rather than guessing.
